Path Editor Tool

This documentation outlines the functionality of the Path Editor Tool.

The Path Editor Tool allows you to change the location of various paths. For instance, you may want to relocate your Logs folder to enhance security.

Only certain folder names can be changed without disrupting your environment. These folders are listed in the Data/allowed_paths.php file.

To add new paths to this file, you need to know the correct key of the $_PATHS array, which can be found in the paths.php file located in Carnivore's root folder.

Expanding the Path Editor Tool

To add more folders to Data/allowed_paths.php, you must replace all static text in Carnivore referring to the folder with variables.

Known Issues

Renaming folders can risk causing Carnivore to malfunction.
